Welcome to the Bar SZ Ranch!
Check-in: 3pm - Let us know what time you will be arriving and we will be there to greet you.
Check-out: 11am - Read the house manual and follow all instructions in order to avoid extra charges.
Arriving: GPS can be spotty, we recommend following our written directions below. Pull into the main entrance of the ranch in order to check-in, for the safety of our animals and children please respect our 5 mph speed limit. Read the welcome kit upon arrival.
Amenities: The nearest amenities are 45 minutes away, pack in everything you plan on needing.
Cooking: There is a large Santa Maria style BBQ in the common area which everyone is welcome to use ($30/BBQ to cover the oak wood). Both the Ranch House and Art House have a BBQ with propane provided, and the Cabin has a charcoal BBQ, briquettes not included. Each of the houses has a kitchen which is stocked with standard supplies. Large groups may want to consider bringing over-sized pots/pans/bowls, etc. When gathering more than 10 guests in one house for meals we suggest you bring paper plates and utensils.
Dogs: Although we do allow dogs on the ranch, we have a strict indoor/outdoor policy. It's important for us to keep our houses allergy and dirt free for all our guests, therefore dogs aren't allowed on the carpet, furniture, beds, etc. You can take your dog with you all around the ranch, but when in the houses we ask that you crate them on a hard surface that can be easily cleaned. You assume 100% of the responsibility for their safety while on the ranch. $100/dog
Campfires: The community campfire will begin every night at 8:30 upon request, we have plenty of seating and firewood.
Wi-Fi: The Ranch House, Art House, and Cabin all have a strong wi-fi signal (2mbps). There is also wi-fi provided in the common area.
Cell Service: Although there is no cell coverage on the ranch we do have a micro-cell in the common area which works for Verizon and Sprint customers. AT&T customers need to speak with Tim or Michelle if they would like to access the AT&T micro-cell.
Landlines: Each house is equipped with an old-fashion phone that hooks into the wall. It's available for the convenience of our guests, please be considerate regarding the duration of long-distance calls.
What's Provided: Linens, towels, standard kitchen supplies, fresh drinking water, liquid body soap, hand and dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, coffee beans/grinder, coffee maker, tea, salt/pepper, cooking oil, s'more sticks, seating around the fire pits, and other basics. If your house stock is running low on any of these items please let Tim or Michelle know.
What You Bring: Food, drinks, chocolate/marshmallows/crackers, toiletries, flashlights, sunscreen, hats, bikes/helmets, games, tennis shoes or boots, jeans, multiple layers of clothes for the evenings, and anything else that may personalize your country experience. If you plan to gather a large group in one house OR barbecue in the common area, please bring paper plates and plastic utensils (each house is stocked for 10 guests, dishes and utensils are not to be swapped between houses or used in the common area).

Bags of Ice: We have a new ice maker and are now selling 20lb bags of ice.
Cash: You will need cash for onsite purchases such as horseback riding, shooting, oak BBQs, Doc's Bar, swag, and ice.
Weather: Although we live in the city of Paicines it is a very large area so take the weather report with a grain of salt.
Fun Fact: Our density ratio is ONE person per square mile. San Francisco has 17,000 people per square mile, San Jose has 5,000 people per square mile, Los Angeles has 8,000 people per square mile, and coming in at the top is East Hollywood at 31,000 people per square mile. Come and enjoy our open space!
